Winner Or Loser: Which One Do You Want To Be?

“Believe in yourself totally. Even though you may think it’s a lie, believe in yourself. Get out there and do it. You might fail, you might run into a wall. So what. Get up and do it.” - Anthony Hopkins

Fear of success is far greater than the fear of failure. Failure is familiar, like an old friend.

That’s why we have to be selfish.
We have to be selfish to overcome the fear of success.

I want to conquer this.
I want it.

Why do the practice?
Why do the work?
Because you need it.

Take yourself to work.
Pack up your trunk and go to work.

Stop waiting for someone to give you a chance to act.
Stop complaining about the lack of auditions.
Start working on characters.

Choose a character that you were born to do.
Find her spine.

Create another believable human being, separate from yourself, in conflict.

“It’s all about me.”
“I can’t wait to dive in and find out who he is.”

You have to fall in love with the work, because you need to become self-sufficient.
Develop a way of working that will protect you when you are on set.

Be arrogant about your craft.

Don’t compete with someone else.
Play your game.
Act for yourself. Don’t act for them. Do it for you.
